The Glens Falls basketball star announces on social media he's done

Jimmer Fredette took to social media on Wednesday to announce his retirement from basketball.

In the post, he mentioned loving every second of his career and thanked everyone for their support.

In high school, Jimmer Fredette led Glens Falls to the New York State Championship game, before losing at the Glens Falls Civic Center to end his career.  His scoring was tops in Section 2 until it was surpassed years later by Joel Wincowski, and then after that, by fellow Glens Falls alum Joseph Girard III. 

He helped lead BYU to the NCAA Tournament, and brought them to Glens Falls to face off against Vermont in front of his hometown faithful in his senior year.   His scoring with BYU earned him court time in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, but found his groove overseas as he played on a team in China.

His last venture saw him represent Team USA in 3x3 Basketball in Paris, France, however his time there was limited by injuries.
