Five shut down in 2023

Lovers of the famous pan pizza from Pizza Hut have dwindling options when it comes to restaurants in the Capital Region. In 2023, five restaurants shut down operations, including Amsterdam, Gloversville, Johnstown, Ballston Spa and Cobleskill.

Add another one to that list: Glens Falls. News 10 reports the restaurant, located at 12 Hudson Avenue, will close its doors after today (Wednesday, March 12).

This leaves approximately twelve restaurants in and around the Capital Region, including:

  • Wolf Road, Colonie
  • Inside Target in Amsterdam
  • Broadway, Fort Edward
  • Main Street, Queensbury
  • Aviation Road, Queensbury (Pizza Hut Express inside Target)
  • Ballston Ave, Saratoga Springs
  • Route 9, Clifton Park
  • Inside the Mobil Mart on Troy Schenectady Road, Latham
  • 675 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham
  • Saratoga Road, Glenville
  • Altamont Ave, Schenectady
  • 2nd Ave, Troy

While the majority of the locations that have already closed remain empty, it was announced earlier in the week that Ted's Fish Fry plans on taking over the Ballston Spa space this fall.

It was reported Tuesday that Pizza Hut's US President, David Graves, resigned from his position
